  • As a Private Pilot you are capable of operating an aircraft for personal use. Fly to airports across the country, explore the skies, and take your friends and family along for the ride.

  • Expand your capabilities as a pilot and learn to fly through the clouds. With an instrument rating, you are no longer limited to 18,000’ or VFR flight. Become a safer pilot and explore the world of IFR.

  • A commercial pilot is able to fly for compensation or hire. This certificate allows you to make money for the first time in your aviation career.

  • Flight training consists of 4 pillars.

    1. General Eligibility: Written test and age requirements.

    2. Aeronautical Knowledge: Ground school and knowledge of regulations, aircraft systems, theory of flight and more.

    3. Flight Proficiency: Competency in flight maneuvers and landings.

    4. Aeronautical Experience: Cross country flights, solo flights and total hour requirements.

  • Once you have completed the required training, you will be eligible for a check ride. Upon successful completion of your checkride you will receive your new pilot certificate!

  • Depending on your certificate level, the checkride will vary slightly. A checkride will consist of a ground and flight portion conducted by a designated pilot examiner (DPE). The checkride will begin on the ground where the DPE will ask questions generally built around a scenario. Following the ground portion you enter the flight portion. Here you will complete maneuvers that you have practiced in your flight training and answer questions along the way. Assuming all goes well, the DPE will hand you your temporary airmen’s certificate!
